Our values
At Ofcom, we exist to make communications work for everyone. In order to do this, we have five core values that sit at the heart of everything we do. Our values shape how we treat one another, how we work together, how we relate to our stakeholders, and how we judge performance.
Our job is a big one. And the programme’s complexity can be categorised into five focus areas:
Excellence
As a regulator, it’s important that we hold ourselves to the same high standards
that we set everyone else.
We want our people to feel proud of the work they do – because it makes an impact.
Collaboration
We all share one goal at
Ofcom – regardless of what department you work in or the role that you do. Our people care about the same things and the way we work reflects this. We can achieve more together than we can alone.
Agility
As the communications landscape continues to evolve and grow, our organisation will shift with it. We work with agility and flexibility – staying ahead of the curve when it comes to new technology and adapting to new innovations and changes in our sectors.
Empowerment
We believe everyone should feel confident and comfortable enough to be their true selves in the workplace. We empower our people to stay curious, share ideas, do work that inspires them, and to have a voice on the issues they care about.
Respect
Everyone’s skills, contributions, and ideas are valued and respected at Ofcom. Everyone has a role to play and something to contribute. We appreciate everyone’s input equally, regardless of their background or experience.
